The Lee Precision 457-405-F is a double cavity bullet mold designed to cast .457" diameter, 405 grain flat nose rifle bullets for cartridges like the 45-70 Government. CNC-machined from lightweight aluminum, this two-cavity block casts two identical projectiles per pour for efficient bullet production at the reloading bench.

The Lee 457-405-F drops a classic heavy-bullet profile long favored for 45-70 Government and similar large-bore black-powder and smokeless-powder rifle loads. The flat nose design delivers strong terminal performance on medium and large game, and the mold is dimensioned to throw a true .457" diameter bullet sized for standard 45-70 case mouths. Mold handles are included and thread directly into the mold block for a quick, secure setup.

This bullet mold does not require a gas check, simplifying the casting and sizing process. Smelt lead or range scrap, flux, and pour into the pre-heated mold for clean, repeatable bullets ready for lubrication and loading.
