Kynshot RB5001 AR-15 Fixed Stock Hydraulic Buffer - Stainless

The Kynshot RB5001 hydraulic recoil buffer is a direct drop-in replacement for AR-15 rifles equipped with Mil-Spec rifle-length A1 or A2 fixed-stock buffer tubes. It is intended primarily for rifles chambered in 223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO and works with a standard rifle buffer spring.

The RB5001 uses a sealed hydraulic cylinder to absorb energy from the bolt carrier's rearward movement. This moderates bolt speed and bolt bounce during chambering. Its body is made from high-strength 17-4 stainless steel with a silver stainless finish, a nickel-plated cylinder rod, a high-impact striker cap, and Mil-Spec hydraulic fluid and seals.

Designed for fixed-stock tubes with a 9.5" internal depth, the buffer measures 6.31" long, 5.88" when compressed, and 0.70" in diameter. It weighs 8.3 oz. Kynshot also lists compatibility with 300 Blackout, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, .204-caliber AR cartridges, 458 SOCOM, and 450 Bushmaster. This model is not intended for 9mm pistol-caliber carbines.

Kynshot reports at least a 30% reduction in felt recoil along with reduced muzzle rise, bolt bounce, optic vibration, and component wear. The RB5001 is rated for fully automatic firearms and has a certified operating range of -30°F to 150°F.
