The Kinetic Development Group MREX MkII is a compact 4.25" M-LOK free-float receiver extension designed specifically for the FN SCAR 16 and FN SCAR 17 rifle platforms.

Engineered as a streamlined upgrade over KDG's original MREX handguard, the MkII bolts directly to the SCAR upper receiver to add substantial M-LOK rail real estate without weighing down the front end. The 4.25" extension is the ideal length for short-barreled SCAR configurations, including 10" SBR setups, bringing the installed overall length to 11.08" while keeping the package compact and balanced.

Each MREX MkII is machined from a single billet of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in a low-glare matte black coating. At just 7 ounces, this lightweight extension integrates full-length M-LOK slots for direct attachment of lights, lasers, grips, bipods, and other M-LOK-compatible accessories.

Made in the USA by Kinetic Development Group, the MREX MkII installs cleanly using a 2.5mm hex driver and T25 Torx fasteners (installation rated 5/10 difficulty by KDG) and mates to the SCAR's factory barrel nut interface for a rigid, repeatable lockup. No gunsmithing required.
