The Kimber CDS9 (OR)(RL) is a sub-compact 9mm Luger hammer-fired, single-action semi-automatic pistol built on a modern 1911-style platform, pairing an aluminum frame with a stainless steel optic-ready slide. Engineered around today's concealed-carry and home-defense shooter, the CDS9 brings together a slim sub-compact profile, a full-length accessory rail, and ambidextrous controls in one of the most versatile 1911 platforms in the Kimber lineup.

This configuration features a 3.18-inch stainless steel barrel matched to a serrated stainless steel slide that is factory-cut for direct mounting of an RMSc-pattern reflex optic (Shield RMSc footprint). Slide serrations give a clean, snag-free profile while providing positive grip for press checks and chambering. An integrated Picatinny accessory rail is machined into the dustcover for mounting weapon lights or lasers.

The aluminum frame is finished in matte black and is fitted with an extended beavertail that promotes a high, tight grip for improved recoil control and reduced slide bite. Ambidextrous controls, including a reversible magazine release, make the CDS9 equally comfortable and intuitive for both right- and left-handed shooters. The pistol ships with two magazines - a flush-fit 13-round magazine and an extended 15-round magazine - giving the shooter both deep concealment and full-capacity carry in one package. Overall length is 6.2 inches with an unloaded weight of approximately 21.44 oz.
