The Kershaw Misdirect XL is a value-priced assisted-opening folder built around a 3.37" reverse tanto blade and a full stainless steel frame-lock handle. Sized up from Kershaw's standard Misdirect (6.8" overall, 3.2 oz), the XL stretches to a 7.92" overall length with a 4.55" closed length and a 4.2 oz carry weight.

The blade is cut from 4Cr14 stainless steel and given a stonewashed finish that helps mask the scuffs a working EDC pocket knife picks up over time. It uses a reverse tanto profile with a flat grind, a plain edge, and 0.11" blade stock.

Deployment is handled by assisted opening with a built-in flipper tab, and the blade is held open by a solid stainless steel frame lock. The handles are finished in a clean gray coating, and a reversible pocket clip is set up for tip-up carry.
