The Kershaw Launch 1 is a push-button automatic folder built around a 3.4" drop point blade of CPM 154 powdered-metallurgy stainless steel with Kershaw's signature Black-oxide BlackWash coating. Part of Kershaw's popular Launch series of automatic knives, the Launch 1 pairs a slim everyday-carry profile with a fast-firing side-button automatic action for reliable one-handed deployment.

The CPM 154 blade steel takes and holds an excellent edge thanks to its uniform carbide distribution, while the BlackWash finish helps disguise use scratches and adds a low-glare working appearance. The plain-edge drop point profile offers a versatile mix of belly and tip for everyday cutting tasks. At 8" overall with a 4.6" closed length and a weight of just 4 oz, the Launch 1 sits comfortably in the pocket for daily carry.

The handle is machined black anodized aluminum with a clean, contoured shape that keeps the folder lightweight without sacrificing grip security. A reversible pocket clip is mounted for tip-up carry and can be swapped to either side for left- or right-handed use. A side-mounted push button unlocks and fires the blade open automatically and serves as the lock release, making operation simple and intuitive.
