The Kel-Tec SUB2000 Gen3 is a folding semi-automatic carbine chambered in 5.7x28mm and finished in Tan. Building on Kel-Tec's proven SUB2000 platform, this third-generation model adds a rotating forend for easier opening, an updated polymer chassis, and a more capable handguard while retaining the gun's signature ability to fold in half for compact storage and transport.

At the heart of the SUB2000 Gen3 is a 16.15-inch threaded barrel (1/2x28) that takes advantage of the flat-shooting, low-recoil 5.7x28mm cartridge. The handguard features M-LOK slots for accessory mounting, with a full-length Picatinny rail across the top for red dots or magnified optics and a second Picatinny rail on the bottom for a bipod, light, or foregrip. Adjustable iron sights come standard, so the carbine is ready to run even before an optic is added.

The SUB2000's defining feature remains its folding action, which lets the rifle collapse to roughly half its deployed length for stowage in a pack, vehicle, or under a desk.
