At the heart of the kit is a 7075-T6 aluminum carbine-length 6-position buffer tube finished in matte black anodizing for corrosion resistance and a low-glare look. A 17-4 stainless steel carbine buffer spring rides inside, paired with Kaw Valley Precision's heavy 4.3 oz stainless steel buffer - an H2-weight option that adds mass over a standard carbine buffer to tame recoil, reduce bolt bounce, and extend service life on internal components during high-volume shooting.
