Forged from 8620 steel, the K-SPEC Enhanced carrier features sand-cut carrier rails that smooth cycling and reduce friction against the upper receiver. The carrier is chrome lined on the interior for long-term wear and corrosion resistance, with a manganese phosphate finish on the exterior. The down-vent gas key directs excess gas downward rather than back into the shooter's face, a feature many shooters appreciate when running a suppressor.
