Proudly made in the USA, it pairs a no-nonsense 5.25" clip point profile with a workhorse handle to deliver the classic KA-BAR feel in a more compact, pack-friendly package.

The blade is ground from 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel, a proven working-steel formula that takes and holds a serviceable edge and resharpens easily in the field. The straight edge is ground at 20 degrees for clean slicing and controlled cuts, with a beefy 0.165" blade thickness that gives the Short real backbone without unnecessary weight. A black blade finish helps hide scratches from hard use over time.

Up front, a 12GA commercial grade carbon steel guard protects your fingers and locks the grip in during heavy chopping and cuts. The handle is molded from textured black Kraton, which grips securely wet or dry and absorbs shock so the knife stays comfortable through long work sessions. Overall length runs 9.375", keeping the Short easier to carry while still giving you a full-hand grip and enough blade to do real work.
