The Ka-Bar 1480 TDI Law Enforcement is a purpose-built fixed blade defensive knife designed for plainclothes officers, security personnel, and everyday carry. Created by John Benner, this compact last-resort tool is intended for close-quarters self-defense when carrying a firearm is not an option, and rides on the belt without printing.
The AUS-8A stainless steel blade measures 2.31" long with a 0.125" blade thickness and a plain edge, ground in a practical drop point profile that balances tip control with edge durability. At just 5.63" overall and 3.20 oz, the TDI stays out of the way on the waistband and deploys fast.
The handle is molded in black Zytel for a secure grip. A plastic sheath with belt clip is included and fits belts up to 1.75" wide.
