The Ka-Bar 1257 Short Fight/Utility is a compact fixed blade knife built on the legendary KA-BAR Fighting/Utility platform at roughly three-quarters the size of the full-length USMC knife. Its 5.25" clip point blade is crafted from 1095 Cro-Van high-carbon steel with a black epoxy powder coat finish and a part serrated edge that handles both clean slicing and tough, fibrous cutting tasks.

At 9.25" overall and just 6.40 oz, the Short is sized for practical everyday carry and general utility without the bulk of a full-size fighting knife. The handle is wrapped in non-slip black Kraton G for a secure grip in wet or dry conditions, and a leather sheath is included for belt carry right out of the box.
