Built on the same iconic platform as the full-length USMC Fighting/Utility knife adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps since 1942, this shorter variant delivers the same field-proven performance at roughly three-quarter scale, making it a versatile multi-purpose fixed blade for controlled cutting tasks, everyday utility, and outdoor work.

At the heart of the 1252 is a 5.25" clip point blade forged from 1095 Cro-Van high-carbon steel, the same tough and durable alloy Ka-Bar uses across its USMC line. The part-serrated edge pairs a plain section for clean slicing with a serrated section for tougher cutting jobs. A black protective blade finish helps shield the steel from corrosion and reduces reflective glare in the field.
