The JE Machine Tech PS-BTP4 is a skeletonized pistol buffer tube designed for AR-15 platform pistols and short-barrel builds where a standard carbine or rifle receiver extension is too long. It is a direct replacement for a Mil-Spec pistol buffer tube, dropping into any standard AR-15 lower that accepts a pistol-length extension.

The PS-BTP4 is milled from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a durable Type II anodized black coating for corrosion resistance and a low-glare surface. The extension is built to Mil-Spec dimensions, ensuring proper fit with standard castle nuts, end plates, and pistol buffer/spring assemblies.

What sets this buffer tube apart from a standard solid extension is the 14 pass-through skeleton cuts machined along its length. The openings remove excess material to drop weight and give the tube a distinctive skeletonized look that matches well with other lightweight AR-15 pistol components. The PS-BTP4 is sold as the buffer tube only; spring, buffer, castle nut, and pistol brace are sold separately.
