The Howa M1500 Superlite Short is a compact, lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester (and compatible with 7.62x51 NATO), purpose-built for shooters who want a short, suppressor-ready rifle that still delivers the accuracy and reliability the M1500 line is known for.

At the core of the Superlite Short is a 16.25" lite-profile blued barrel with a 1:10" twist, a versatile rate that stabilizes the broad spread of .308 hunting and match projectiles on the market. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 from the factory, ready to accept a muzzle device or suppressor right out of the box. With an overall length of just 38.75" and a total weight of 4.5 lbs, the Superlite Short is built for any application where a trim, lightweight rifle is a real advantage.

Up top sits Howa's proven M1500 bolt action with a 3-position safety that allows the action to be cycled with the safety engaged. The rifle features Howa's signature tool-less firing pin removal for fast, easy field maintenance. A 4-round detachable box magazine ships with the rifle, giving the Superlite Short a 4+1 capacity.
