The Hornady XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) bullet is one of the most trusted handgun projectile designs on the market, and this 44 Cal .430" 180 gr loading delivers the controlled expansion, deep penetration, and match-grade accuracy reloaders rely on for hunting, self-defense, and law enforcement work.

Each bullet is built around a lead core enclosed by a copper jacket, with a hollow point nose cavity engineered to initiate consistent expansion across a wide range of velocities. A precisely located cannelure locks the jacket to the core and provides a positive crimp reference, making the XTP well suited to a wide range of handgun loads chambered in the .44 caliber / .430" diameter family.

With a ballistic coefficient of .138 (G1) and a sectional density of .139, this 180 grain XTP offers a strong balance of velocity retention and penetration.
