The Hornady Traditional Varmint bullet line is built for accurate, explosive takedowns on coyotes, prairie dogs, and other varmints. This reloader's projectile features a .22 caliber (.224" diameter) design weighing 55 grains in a streamlined Spire Point profile engineered for ultra-flat trajectory and consistent performance across a wide velocity range.
A match-grade copper jacket is wrapped around a lead core, giving handloaders the accuracy serious varmint hunters demand. The bullet carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of .235 and a sectional density of .157, and it expands reliably even at the lower velocities typical of varmint handloads. Its spire point profile seats neatly and produces the explosive expansion Hornady is known for, even at reduced velocities.
Each box contains 100 projectiles, with 40 boxes per case (4,000 bullets per case) for high-volume handloaders. These projectiles are part of Hornady's Traditional Varmint series, a longstanding line of spire point and flat base varmint bullets favored by handloaders chasing small game and predators.
