The Hornady Lock-N-Load Modified Case in 358 Winchester is a precision reloading accessory engineered to work with Hornady's Lock-N-Load Precision gauges. Each case is specially prepared with a fine thread cut at the case-head, allowing it to screw directly into the gauge for repeatable, hands-free measurement of overall cartridge length and bullet seating depth.

The case neck is reamed .002" oversized to accept the same bullets you intend to load, giving you an accurate representation of how a finished round will assemble. The original flash hole is removed and replaced by the threaded boss, converting the case into a dedicated gauging tool rather than a live, reloadable component.
