The Hornady InterLock is one of the most proven hunting bullet designs ever produced, featuring a lead core mechanically locked to a copper jacket by Hornady's signature InterLock ring. The design retains more mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels, making it a trusted choice for dangerous game and large North American species.

This 45 Caliber (.458" diameter) bullet weighs 300 grains and is intended for the 45-70 Government and other large-bore rifles chambered in .458 caliber. It features a hollow point meplat, a copper jacket with a lead core, and a cannelure that provides accurate, consistent crimping while also working with the InterLock ring to keep the core and jacket locked together during expansion. The bullet carries a ballistic coefficient of .197, a sectional density of .204, and a recommended velocity range of 1600-2100 fps.
