The Hornady InterLock is a time-tested .30 caliber (.308") hunting bullet built around Hornady's signature raised InterLock ring, a mechanical interlock embedded into the lead core during manufacturing to lock the copper jacket and lead core together as one piece. The result is a soft-point bullet that holds together on impact, retains mass and energy, and transfers that energy to the target - exactly what you want from a hunting projectile loaded for medium to big game.

This 165 grain spire point (soft point) projectile carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of .387 and a sectional density of .248. A cannelure midway along the shank provides a secure seat for consistent crimping and proper bullet alignment in the case mouth when the bullet is seated during reloading. The lead tip initiates controlled expansion on impact, while the locked-together jacket and core resist fragmentation and drive energy deep into game.
