The Hornady InterLock is a foundational hunting bullet design that has earned its reputation in both the field and on the reloading bench. This .270 Caliber (.277") projectile is a 140 grain Boat Tail Spire Point (BTSP) built around the proven InterLock system: a raised locking ring inside the copper jacket that mechanically captures the lead core, holding jacket and core together as one piece during expansion so mass and energy are retained downrange.

The streamlined spire-point profile delivers flat trajectories and the boat-tail base conserves velocity, while the copper jacket / lead core construction is engineered for reliable controlled expansion on medium to large game. A published ballistic coefficient of .486 and sectional density of .261 make this an effective, traditional hunting bullet for the .270 Winchester and other .277" cartridges.
