The Hornady ELD Match bullet is a technologically advanced, enhanced-accuracy target projectile built around Hornady's signature Heat Shield polymer tip. This 7mm (.284) loading is a 180 grain spitzer boat-tail match bullet engineered for long-range competitive shooting and serious precision reloaders.

Conventional polymer tips in high-BC bullets can deform in flight; the ELD (Extremely Low Drag) Heat Shield tip resists that melt-back so the meplat stays consistent from muzzle to target. The result is a match-grade projectile with a high ballistic coefficient, a spitzer boat tail profile, and a jacketed lead core that minimizes drag and holds stability at extended ranges. The recommended minimum twist rate is 1:8".

Each box contains 100 Hornady 28503 ELD Match bullets in 7mm (.284 diameter) at 180 grains, with a sectional density of 0.319. Reloaded into 7mm rifle cartridges, these projectiles are an excellent choice for competition, long-range practice, and precision hunting applications.
