The Hornady CX is a monolithic, one-piece copper alloy rifle bullet designed for handloaders who want deep penetration and dependable terminal performance from a lead-free projectile. Offered in the popular .270 Cal (0.277" diameter) at 130 gr, the CX (Copper Solid) design will not separate on impact, retaining up to 95% of its original weight for straight, deep wound channels on medium and heavy game.

These reloading projectiles carry a G1 ballistic coefficient of .403 and a sectional density of .242, giving handloaders a high-BC monolithic option that flies flat and hits hard. Because the bullet is a single piece of copper alloy with no exposed lead core, it is an excellent choice for hunters working in areas that restrict the use of traditional lead-core projectiles.
