The Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension Series I 2-Die Rifle Set is a full-length die set designed specifically for handloading .243 Winchester rifle ammunition. This two-die set provides both the sizing/decapping die and the bullet seating die needed to take bottleneck rifle brass from spent case to finished round in a standard reloading press.

The full-length sizing die uses a smooth polished elliptical expander to gently open the case neck, paired with a hardened steel decap pin that knocks out spent primers in one pass. The bullet seater die is driven by a precision seater adjustment screw for fine-tuning seating depth, and both dies are machined from hardened steel for long service life under repeated use.

Each die is held in the press with a lock ring with wrench flats that clamps around the entire die body to apply constant pressure and keep the setting locked in place. The seater die also features a sliding alignment sleeve that captures the case mouth and keeps it square with the seating stem, so loaded rounds come out concentric and consistent. Like the rest of Hornady's New Dimension line, the Series I uses a spindle lock design that holds internal components securely during adjustment and use.
