Hornady Cam Lock Trimmer Pilot #3 .243 6mm Steel

The Hornady Cam Lock Trimmer Pilot is an interchangeable centering pilot designed for use with the Hornady Cam Lock Case Trimmer. This Pilot #3 is precision-sized for .243 / 6mm rifle cases, giving reloaders a quick-change option when prepping multiple calibers on a single trimmer platform.

Pilots are the heart of the Cam Lock system. Each pilot centers the case squarely in the trimmer so the cutter produces a clean, uniform mouth and the case is trimmed to the correct overall length. The pilot is machined from ultra-hard tool steel for long service life and repeatable accuracy, and slides directly into the Cam Lock Trimmer collet where it locks in place for fast caliber changes.

This is the #3 pilot, sized .243 for the popular 6mm bore class (covers .243 Winchester family). It is compatible with the Hornady Cam Lock Case Trimmer (sold separately) and is an essential replacement or add-on pilot for reloaders running that trimmer across multiple cartridges. Hornady Cam Lock pilots trim cases up to 50 caliber.
