The Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller Collet #3 is a replacement insert for the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller, sized specifically for pulling .243 caliber (6mm) bullets from loaded cartridges without damaging the bullet or the case. This collet is the heart of the Cam-Lock system: it clamps firmly around the bullet jacket so the bullet can be drawn cleanly during the reloading process, making it ideal for salvaging loaded rounds, reclaiming costly bullets, or correcting powder charges.

The Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller line uses fourteen interchangeable collets that cover everything from .17 caliber through .458 caliber, allowing reloaders to handle virtually any rifle or pistol cartridge. This Collet #3 is matched to the .243" bullet diameter and is machined from durable metal for long service life under repeated use with a reloading press. To use, simply select the collet that matches your bullet diameter, swap it into the Cam-Lock puller body, and run the press.
