Hornady A308 Lock-N-Load Modified Case 308 Winchester Brass

The Hornady Lock-N-Load Modified Case (part A308) is a precision reloading accessory engineered for use with Hornady's Lock-N-Load Overall Length (OAL) Precision Gauges. Each unit is a single specially modified brass case cut to SAAMI minimum specifications so it chambers fully in any standard rifle chamber, giving reloaders a true read on headspace and bullet jump.

Chambered for .308 Winchester / 7.62 NATO, the modified case features a precision-machined fine thread that mates with the Lock-N-Load Precision Gauge spindle, keeping the case square during chambering for accurate measurement. The case neck is rounded and the mouth opened so bullet tips can seat while measuring overall length to the lands, a critical step for setting up consistent, accurate handloads.

This is a single-piece reloading tool sold as one modified case. The Lock-N-Load Precision Gauge body is sold separately; the modified case is the chamber-specific insert that threads into the gauge for your specific caliber.
