Hornady A243 Lock-N-Load Modified Case 243 Winchester

The Hornady A243 Lock-N-Load Modified Case is a precision brass case machined to SAAMI specifications and engineered to work with Hornady's Lock-N-Load Overall Length (OAL) Precision Gauge system.

Chambered for the .243 Winchester, the case head is drilled and tapped with a fine thread to thread onto the OAL gauge, allowing handloaders to measure true bullet seating depth using the actual projectiles intended for the load. The neck is opened slightly oversized so the bullet being tested seats exactly as it will in the completed round, taking the guesswork out of seating-depth tuning.
