The Hornady A-Tip Match line is engineered for serious long-range precision shooters who demand the ultimate in low-drag, high-BC match performance. This 7mm offering features a 166 grain bullet measuring .284 inch in diameter, built around a lead core and a precision-machined aluminum tip that shifts the center of gravity rearward to enhance in-flight stability and reduce drag.
Unlike conventional polymer-tipped projectiles, the A-Tip uses a longer, machined aluminum tip for tighter concentricity and superior aerodynamic efficiency. The bullet is wrapped in a copper jacket and rated with a ballistic coefficient of .664 and a sectional density of .294, making it an outstanding choice for 1000-yard and beyond match applications. Hornady recommends a minimum 1:9.25 inch twist rate for stabilized flight.
These projectiles are new current-production Hornady reloading components, sold in a 100-count box (10 boxes per case, 1000 bullets per case). Whether you are loading for F-Class competition, long-range precision rifle matches, or extreme-distance practice, the Hornady A-Tip Match provides the consistency and downrange energy retention competitive shooters require.
