The Hornady A-Tip Match bullets in 6.5mm (.264) deliver an ultralow-drag, high-performance match projectile for the precision handloader. Each bullet is built around a 135 grain lead core, fully encapsulated in a precision copper jacket, and crowned with a precision-machined aluminum tip that is longer than a typical polymer tip. That longer metallic tip shifts the center of gravity rearward, tightens the meplat for consistent initiation, and helps the bullet shed drag efficiently downrange for stable, repeatable long-range performance.

Engineered specifically for match shooting, the A-Tip Match is designed around a refined secant ogive with a generous bearing surface for guidance in the bore, producing the kind of small-group consistency competitive F-Class, precision rifle, and long-range shooters demand. With a ballistic coefficient of .321 (G1) and a sectional density of .277, this 135 grain pill is ideally suited to cartridges like the 6.5 Creedmoor and other 6.5mm chamberings, and Hornady recommends a 1:8.5" twist rate for best stability.
