The Hornady A-Tip Match is a precision .308 diameter, 176 gr match projectile engineered for long-range competitive and precision rifle shooting. Each bullet is built around a lead core enclosed in a copper jacket and crowned with a precision-machined aluminum tip that is intentionally longer than a conventional polymer tip, shifting additional mass forward of the bullet's center of gravity for enhanced in-flight stability.
The longer aluminum tip is the defining feature of the A-Tip design. By moving the balance point forward, the bullet holds a more stable attitude through the transonic transition, resists wind drift, and retains velocity downrange. Rated at a .284 ballistic coefficient with a .265 sectional density, the A-Tip Match is optimized for 1:12" rifling and the long, repeatable strings demanded by match-grade handloads - equally at home in an F-Class rifle, a PRS competition build, or any long-range precision match application.
This listing is for one 100-count box of .308 A-Tip Match projectiles (ten boxes per manufacturer case, sold and priced per box). Every bullet is sorted to tight weight, diameter, and concentricity tolerances so handloaders can stack consistent components into accurate match ammunition. Brass, primers, and propellant are sold separately - this is a reloading projectile, not loaded ammunition.
