Hornady 050085 Universal Decapping Die Multi-Caliber

The Hornady Universal Decapping Die is a dedicated multi-caliber reloading tool built to remove spent primers from cartridge cases before they are sent through a sizing die. Model 050085, it is specifically engineered to decap military cases that carry swaged primer pockets, the kind that are notoriously hard on conventional sizing dies and that quickly contaminate them with debris.

By running cases through this decapper first, reloaders keep dirt, grit, and pieces of spent primers out of their sizing dies, dramatically extending die life and protecting the more expensive tooling in the press.
