Horizon Firearms Vandal Carbon 2 280 Ackley Improved 22" Bolt-Action Rifle

The Horizon Firearms Vandal Carbon 2 is a lightweight bolt-action rifle built on Horizon's weight-conscious backcountry platform. Chambered in 280 Ackley Improved, this rifle is designed for hunters and precision shooters who want reduced carry weight and reliable accuracy in the field.

At the heart of the Vandal Carbon 2 is a 22" SOCOM-contour Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped threaded barrel, fluted in Horizon's signature diamond pattern. The carbon fiber barrel construction keeps rifle mass to a minimum while delivering the rigidity and heat performance expected of a premium barrel, with a 1:8" twist suited to the broad range of bullet weights used in 280 Ackley Improved. The muzzle is fitted with the included Iota Sim Brake for recoil management.

The action is mated to a receiver machined with an integrated Picatinny optics rail for direct optic mounting, and paired with a full-length ARCA rail forend that provides a rigid, repeatable interface for tripod clamps and direct-mount bipods without aftermarket rail sections. A factory-tuned TriggerTech trigger delivers a clean, crisp break for consistent shot timing at distance. Hand: Right Hand.

The rifle is finished with an Iota EKO X carbon fiber stock in Deep Olive, pairing light weight and rigidity with a low-profile silhouette suitable for both prone work and stalking carry. Built in the USA by Horizon Firearms, the Vandal Carbon 2 ships without installed iron sights, allowing the shooter to mount their preferred optic directly on the factory Picatinny rail.
