The blade is ground from CPM MagnaCut stainless steel at 0.115" thick, hardened to 62-64 HRC and cryogenically heat treated for an optimal balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. Hogue gives the steel a black stonewash finish that cuts glare and helps conceal wear over time, and finishes the edge as a clean plain edge.

The handle is built around Hogue's Richlite scales in the distinctive Maple Valley blue pattern. Lockup is handled by Hogue's ABLE Lock mechanism paired with light blue anodized titanium thumb studs for snappy one-handed opening.
