The denser bismuth outer layer carries extra energy on impact while the steel core keeps payload and pattern density high, giving hunters roughly 38% more lethal range than conventional steel waterfowl loads.

This load uses a 3-1/2 inch magnum hull loaded with 1-1/2 oz of #4 shot at a published 1500 fps muzzle velocity, well suited for mid- to long-range passes over decoying ducks and geese. As a fully non-toxic waterfowl load, it is approved for use where lead shot is restricted and is intended for hunting applications in any 12 Gauge shotgun chambered for 3-1/2" shells.
