The Hevi-Shot Magnum Blend is a turkey-hunting 28 Gauge shotshell built around a 1 oz payload of 12 g/cc tungsten shot blended across three pellet sizes: #5, #6, and #7. By stacking different pellet sizes in a single hull, Magnum Blend lays down a dense, layered pattern with a wider cone of lethality on target than a single-size payload of comparable weight can deliver. The HEVI-Shot tungsten alloy is denser than lead, so each pellet in the pattern carries more retained energy downrange than a comparable lead pellet, putting the maximum number of pellets to work when a tom steps into range.

This load is built on a 3-inch shotshell hull and drives its 1 oz tungsten payload at a rated muzzle velocity of 1300 fps. The non-toxic tungsten construction is approved for use where lead shot is restricted, and the blend of pellet sizes produces a dense, evenly distributed pattern. Magnum Blend is designed and intended for turkey hunting, putting the maximum number of lethal pellets on a turkey's head and neck at practical shotgun ranges.
