The action relies on Henry's signature rebounding hammer rather than an external manual safety - the hammer cannot reach the firing pin unless the trigger is deliberately pulled. An integrated interlock prevents the barrel from opening if the hammer is cocked and prevents the barrel from closing while the hammer remains cocked in the open position. The barrel is drilled and tapped for optional scope mounting, and iron sighting is handled by a classic brass bead front paired with a leaf-style rear sight. The 1:10" twist stabilizes a broad spread of .243 Win bullet weights for varmints, deer, and medium game.

The walnut stock is shaped for a right-hand shooter with a curved pistol-grip wrist and a straight English wrist, capped with a brass buttplate.
