The Henry H009BGL Side Gate is a full-size lever-action rifle chambered in 30-30 Winchester, blending the classic Big Boy silhouette with the convenience of a side loading gate for topping off the tubular magazine without having to cycle the lever.

At its heart is a 20-inch round blued steel barrel with a 1:12" twist, paired with Henry's signature polished brass receiver - solid brass, not plated - that carries a side loading gate on the right side. The action feeds from a 5+1 tube magazine and is fitted with a large loop lever for confident cycling with gloved hands or in cold weather.

Iron sights are traditional and effective: a brass bead front mates with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear for fast target acquisition in the field. A transfer bar safety blocks the hammer from striking the firing pin until the trigger is fully pulled. The rifle wears a fixed American walnut stock in a warm brown finish, measures 39 inches overall, and tips the scales at 8.30 lbs for steady handling in the deer stand.
