Designed to slip directly over the barrel and thread on like a standard muzzle device, the unit installs on any AR-15 with a 1/2x28 threaded barrel. It is rated for .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO and is also compatible with 9mm AR-pattern firearms using the same 1/2x28 thread pitch. Measuring 1.25" in diameter and 5.5" long, the shroud covers roughly 5" of barrel while adding only 5.9 oz to the rifle.
