The GrovTec Hammer Extension is a clamp-on steel accessory designed to give lever-action shooters more surface area when cocking the hammer on a classic Marlin. This part fits the Marlin Model 36 (1936-1947) and the early Marlin Model 336 (1948-1956), covering a specific span of vintage Marlins that benefit from a more prominent thumb purchase on the hammer spur.

The extension clamps onto the side of the hammer spur and adds a serrated horizontal lever, giving the shooter's thumb a large, easy-to-find grasping surface. That makes cocking the action faster and more positive, especially with gloved hands, in cold weather, or under time pressure. The design is ambidextrous, so it works equally well for right- and left-handed shooters, and installs as a clamp-on without permanent modification to the rifle.
