It installs on the factory hammer and extends the spur to deliver a noticeably larger contact surface, giving your thumb a more positive purchase and making the hammer significantly easier to cock in the field.

Whether you are running a scoped Marlin 1895 or working the lever on a classic 336, a short hammer spur can be hard to reach with optics mounted or with gloved hands. The GTHM74 solves that without requiring any permanent modification to the original hammer, and the added surface area improves both cocking speed and overall control of the action.
