The GrovTec GTHM284 Hammer Extension is an exposed-hammer accessory designed to make cocking your rifle easier and more controlled, especially when a scope sits low over the receiver. Adding a horizontal extension to the factory hammer gives your thumb a larger contact surface and noticeably better leverage, which is especially useful on scoped rimfire rifles where the scope's ocular lens blocks direct access to the original hammer spur.

Machined from steel with a black finish, the GTHM284 is purpose-built to fit the Henry 22 Magnum lever-action and pump-action rimfire rifles and the Rossi 92. Per GrovTec's own fitment notes for this exact part number, the GTHM284 also fits Marlin lever actions manufactured in 1983 and later, though fitting may be required on those rifles. The horizontal-mount design installs on the existing hammer and immediately gives the action a more positive cocking stroke each time you work the lever.
