The Great Lakes Firearms GL-15 is a semi-automatic sporting rifle built on the proven AR-15 platform and chambered in the versatile .223 Wylde - a chambering that safely fires both .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO. Manufactured in the USA by Great Lakes Firearms & Ammo (GLFA), this particular configuration wears the brand's popular Battleworn American Flag finish for a distinctive, patriotic look that stands out on the rack and at the range.

Up front sits a 16 inch heavy-profile (HBAR) stainless steel barrel with a 1:8 twist rate - a well-balanced combination chosen for its versatility across a wide range of bullet weights. The barrel is mated to M4 feed ramps for reliable cycling with both .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO ammunition.

The receiver set is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum in a mil-spec AR-15 layout with a standard right-side safety selector (no ambidextrous controls on this build). The forend is dressed with a 15.25 inch M-LOK aluminum handguard, giving shooters plenty of real estate for lights, lasers, grips, and bipods.
