FN AR-15 5.56x45mm NATO 14.70" Carbine Length Barrel - Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Lined

The FN 36420 is a genuine FN AR-15 barrel built on the standard M4 carbine profile. Cut to 14.70 inches of usable length, this barrel is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and uses a carbine length gas system for reliable cycling with a wide range of ammunition.

Each barrel is cold hammer forged from FN's proprietary Chrome Moly Vanadium steel using the same process used in FN's machine gun barrels. The bore and chamber are chrome lined for extended service life and corrosion resistance, and the exterior is finished in a durable black manganese phosphate. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 for standard muzzle devices and is designed around a .750" gas block journal.

This is a brand-new replacement barrel ready to be installed on an existing upper receiver. Whether you are building a clone-correct carbine or replacing a worn-out factory barrel, the FN 36420 delivers the same FN quality found in their complete rifles.
