The FN 502 MRD is a .22 LR red-dot-ready rimfire pistol built around the FN 509 duty-pistol platform. It delivers the same ergonomics, manual safety placement, and overall feel as its 9mm big brother in a low-recoil, low-cost trainer perfect for plinking, skill-building, and small-game hunting.

Chambered in .22 LR with a 10+1 capacity, the FN 502 MRD feeds from authentic FN-pattern magazines and ships with two 10-round magazines for longer range sessions and an instant spare. The grip, controls, and frame footprint are scaled to fit most FN 509 holsters, so you can train and carry with the same setup you trust on the 9mm.

The slide is optic-ready, milled to accept a micro red-dot (MRD) directly without an adapter plate, and features front and rear serrations for easy press checks and slide manipulation. A crisp single-action-only trigger pairs with a positive manual safety for safe, consistent shot-to-shot performance.

A 4-inch barrel sits inside an overall length of 7 inches, with a 1:16 right-hand twist that reliably stabilizes standard and high-velocity .22 LR ammunition. The pistol stands 5.4 inches tall and tips the scales at 22.5 ounces unloaded - light and flat enough for comfortable all-day practice.
