Federal Premium HEVI-Bismuth shotshells deliver the punishing downrange energy of bismuth without the brittleness of steel. The bismuth pellets carry a density of 9.6 g/cc, roughly 22 percent denser than steel, letting hunters drop one shot size from their standard steel payload while still putting more energy on target and keeping pattern density where it counts. HEVI-Bismuth is also safe to fire in vintage and fixed-choke shotguns that should not be used with steel shot, making this an excellent choice for hunters running older upland and field guns.

This 12 Gauge load is built on a 2.75" hull and pushes 1-1/4 oz of #5 bismuth shot at a muzzle velocity of 1350 fps. The #5 payload is a versatile all-around pellet count for waterfowl and upland birds, delivering tight, uniform patterns at typical shotgun ranges. Like all HEVI-Bismuth loads, the shot is non-toxic and approved for use where lead is restricted, so it is equally at home in flooded timber, marsh, or the grouse cover.
