The Federal American Eagle IRT (Indoor Range Training) line is engineered to deliver reliable, accurate range performance while keeping airborne lead exposure to a minimum. This load is chambered in 45 ACP and built around a 230 grain Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) bullet. Unlike conventional FMJ designs, the TMJ bullet fully encases the lead core in a thick copper jacket, eliminating the exposed lead base and the lead vapor and particulate that would otherwise drift downrange in enclosed range air.

Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 850 fps and producing 369 ft lbs of muzzle energy, this American Eagle IRT 45 ACP load delivers the classic, well-balanced ballistics that 45 ACP shooters expect from a standard-pressure training round. The brass cases and fully jacketed TMJ bullet make it a practical pick for target shooting and personal-protection practice at the range.
