Faxon Firearms Superfinished M16 .223/5.56 Bolt Carrier Group - Gold TiN

The Faxon Firearms M16 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group, from the 5.56 M16 Bolt Carrier Group series, is a complete, assembled operating group for compatible AR-15 and M16-pattern rifles chambered in .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO. It is intended as a replacement or upgraded bolt carrier assembly and arrives with the carrier, bolt, gas key, bolt lugs and associated operating parts installed.

The bolt is made from 9310 tool steel and is individually magnetic-particle inspected to identify material defects. Its lugs feature a 45-degree chamfer designed to support reliable cycling, including use with higher-pressure loads and lightweight actions. The gas key is secured with Grade 8 fasteners and is fully staked.

Faxon applies a nitride treatment to increase surface hardness, reduce operating resistance and improve corrosion resistance compared with conventional chrome-and-phosphate carrier groups. The carrier also receives Faxon's Superfinish treatment to reduce friction and fouling while promoting smooth operation. The TiN PVD Coated finish gives this version its distinctive gold appearance.

This M16-pattern carrier group is full-auto rated and retains the trip surface used with full-auto fire-control groups and compatible multi-stage trigger systems. It is a New Condition firearm component.
