Faxon Firearms Duty Series Gunner AR-15 5.56x45mm NATO 16" Barrel - Black Nitride

The Faxon Firearms Duty Series Gunner AR-15 barrel, also identified as the Match Series model, is a 16" replacement or build barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Its Gunner contour combines a Government-style profile from the barrel extension to the gas block with a lighter Pencil profile forward of the gas block, retaining material toward the rear while reducing forward weight.

Faxon constructs this barrel from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel and applies a black QPQ nitride finish to both the interior and exterior. The bore is button rifled with a 1:8 twist rate, and the barrel weighs 1.37 lb.

The mid-length gas system uses a 0.625" gas-block journal measuring 1.9" long, with a 0.081" gas port. An M4 barrel extension and feed-ramp configuration supports AR-15 installation.

At the muzzle, 1/2x28 threads accommodate compatible muzzle devices, while the 11-degree target crown completes the muzzle geometry. The barrel is fully stress-relieved, air-gauge tested, magnetic-particle inspected, final inspected, and individually checked for headspace.
