Faxon Firearms Duty Series AR-15 5.56x45mm NATO 16" SOCOM Barrel - Black Nitride

The Faxon Firearms Duty Series 16" SOCOM Barrel is a new replacement rifle barrel for AR-15/M16-pattern builds chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Its 16 in length, mid-length direct-gas configuration, and SOCOM profile suit patrol carbines, training rifles, and hard-use duty builds, including suppressed or unsuppressed configurations.

Built from certified 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel, this barrel uses a button-rifled bore with a 1:8 twist. The SOCOM contour adds material for heat management and stability during sustained fire. A QPQ black nitride treatment covers the bore and exterior, while the barrel uses an M4 extension for AR-15/M16-pattern compatibility.

The barrel has a .750 in gas-block diameter with a 1.9 in journal. Its muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 and finished with an 11-degree target crown. Faxon stress relieves, air-gauge tests, magnetic-particle inspects, and individually checks headspace on this barrel. No sights, gas block, muzzle device, or other accessories are identified as included.
